What We Believe

What We Believe

Every church’s Statement of Faith and beliefs should be consistent with the Bible’s teachings. There are interpretations and applications that may vary from church to church, but the core must be sound. As you grow, there will be questions. We encourage you to ask if you have questions about our beliefs.

About The Scriptures

We believe the entire Bible is God’s inspired Word for Mankind. Men were moved by the Spirit of God to write. We believe that God provided the Bible to provide a foundational truth and to guide mankind in knowing God and living for Him. Therefore, we believe the Bible reveals God, His will and it is authoritative.

About God

We believe in one God who exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that Jesus Christ (the Son) came in human form to reveal God to man. After Jesus taught and ministered, He also died to pay for mankind’s sinfulness and to make a way for man to be reconciled to God. His resurrection revealed that He accomplished His mission.

About Mankind

We believe that mankind was initially created to demonstrate the nature and character or God. We were also designed to have fellowship with Him. However, mankind became alienated from God through sinful disobedience. Man is incapable of regaining a right relationship with God through his own efforts.

About Salvation

We believe that Jesus Christ's death on the cross provides the only way for the forgiveness of sin.  Salvation occurs only when people return to God and place trust in the death and resurrection of Christ as sufficient payment for their sin.

About The Christian Life

We believe that every Christian should re-evaluate how they live and adjust to live according to God’s standards. These standards are revealed in God’s Word and were demonstrated by Jesus. By living in relationship with God and being willing to change to become obedient, believers will begin demonstrating the character and nature of God. The Spirit of God was sent to help believers mature in their new life and be transformed to be more Christ-like.

About The Church

We believe that the church is intended to complete the work initiated by Christ under His direction. True believers are not just people who attend churches but are those who have believed in Christ and have committed to live for Him. The purpose of the church is to glorify God by loving Him, growing in community and by making Him known to the lost world.

About Eternity

We believe that at the appropriate time, Christ will return to earth and demonstrate His undeniable and ultimate authority over all of creation. There will be a day where those that accepted Christ’s authority will be distinguished from those who did not. There will be eternal reward for those who believed and committed to Christ.  There will be separation and punishment for those who do not.
